Christopher Brown

I'm a Creative Director, brand builder and design leader with over 25 years of in-house and agency experience working with influential and innovative brands across consumer goods and digital services. I seek out mission-forward companies that are evolving common practices of daily life into extraordinary experiences that make our lives better. 

In the late 90's, I landed at a startup at the dawn of interactive advertising where I designed and built experiential websites and digital products. From there I learned the art and science of traditional marketing with stints at GS&P, Razorfish and Hal Riney before starting my own hybrid digital agency, Number 9. Feeling the lure of technology disruptors, I became a CD at Google where I launched a number of Android devices, pioneered interactive physical/digital experiences and developed a launch strategy for Google Robotics. Later, I moved to Uber, where I was the Global CD in charge of developing and launching Uber Eats into a worldwide phenomenon.

Most recently I was VP/ECD at MasterClass where I led the marketing organization inclusive of brand strategy, marketing operations, organic social and creative services. In my time there, I rebranded the company, successfully launched over a hundred classes, and made MasterClass a household name through innovative and award winning brand and product marketing. 

When not disrupting things, you can find me hanging with my family, pondering the universe, riding my mountain bike on Mt Tam, and attempting home improvement projects I'm woefully unskilled at.
